ORBS

ORBS was started in 2007 by Dan Briggs, Ashley Ellyllon and Adam Fisher. The debut album "Asleep Next to Science" was released in 2010 on Equal Vision Records. The band toured the US for the next year in support of the album and took a year and a half off afterwards to regroup and get a new vision for the band. Soon after, a collection of songs emerged and a new album "Past Life Regression" was recorded in the summer of 2013 at Legitimate Business studio in Greensboro, NC by engineer Kris Hilbert. A second session in the fall yielded the b-side "Picked Apart By Time", with extra recording done in Los Angeles, CA by Michael Keene. Both sessions were self funded entirely by the band allowing for the band to take as much time and work with whom they pleased along the way. Now in the fall of 2014, the first of the new ORBS material is ready to be heard. A 7" single of the song "These People Are Animals", along with the b-side "Picked Apart By Time", is now available. Released on Briggs' Hogweed & Fugue Records, the band worked with acclaimed engineer Ken Andrews (Failure, Paramore) on the mix for the songs. The songs show the band's expansion into new territory and also introduces the theme of reincarnation that is the basis for the "Past Life Regression" full length. The full length is in the final phase of mixing with engineer Will Yip and is slated for a 2015 release. Adventurous Space Rock
