About Modern Day Zero

How many bands in the past year and a half can say they’ve toured with heavyweights Guns-N-Roses, Alice In Chains, Velvet Revolver, and Disturbed? The answer is one. That band is Modern Day Zero. In fact, since forming in 2003, MDZ has accomplished much more than your average band. Their self-produced debut album, ‘Coming Up For Air’, delivered a #1 single (“Sick Inside”) on KPNT in addition to receiving significant airplay on numerous alt./rock stations nationwide. “Down”, also featured on ‘Coming Up For Air’, was included on EA Sports games NHL 2004 and NASCAR Thunder 2004.

Tours with rock legends soon followed and in January 2006, Revolver Magazine and Airwalk Clothing crowned MDZ “Unsigned Hero 2006”. The band was given ample press coverage in Revolver and flown to Anaheim, CA to perform a special showcase at the NAMM convention with rock icons Disturbed. Upon seeing the band perform, Disturbed invited MDZ to perform with them in their hometown of Chicago in celebration of the release of their latest album, ‘Ten Thousand Fists’.

MDZ was proud to receive extensive endorsements from Randall and Ampeg Amplifiers, Washburn Guitars, Miller Brewing Co., Spectraflex Cables, Vinci Strings, and Dirtbag Clothing. Guitarists Rock and Zach are featured in Randall’s 2007 catalog.

The band is currently hard at work in their studio writing and recording the follow-up to ‘Coming Up For Air’. With so much accomplished already, Modern Day Zero is poised for so much more. With nothing standing in their way and relentless passion, ambition, and dedication, the road ahead is paved with nothing but success for this band.
