Michael’s Kirtan and angelic heartsongs are celestially inspired, layered, rich tapestries of poetry and prayer. His performance melds sacred space and the inner journey with mantra chants that are gracious and precise, evoking a pace of spontaneous joy.

Inspired by the beauty of the natural world, the music is a crossroads between traditional and contemporary, with organic voice & story creating a dynamic expression that inspires listeners. Michael is a compelling lyricist whose voice soars high and low with the greatest ease, making accessible mantra chants and songs evocative for healing and transformation. The compositions are brimming and layered with human emotion, sparkling with a palpable sense of spirituality and dedication, yet retain the poetic mystery of the folk traditions of the americana west.

His live performance intertwines songs and the magic of listening to the moment, with invocations and poetry of the mystics, carrying the audience into a state of heightened awareness, beyond space and time, full of bliss, and devotion.

As a chant leader and songwriter, Michael discovered his path of healing through music and has inspired people all over to find their authentic voice. He is passionate about love as a vehicle for spiritual awakening, and he is continually learning, growing, and sharing inspiration with those around him. All this comes through his soul stirring vocals, sacred lyrics, and soaring harmonies that sometimes land right on the heart, offered with a sincere prayer for blessing and healing to take place, filled with enchantment and inspiration.

Michael trained at Stanford in jazz piano and voice, he is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, and composer of rhythmic melodies and enchanting lyrics, focusing on the world devotional music. As a musician and performer with over ten years of experience, he can unite people through spirit, love, joy, community and consciousness.

His recent albums “New American Kirtan” and “Guardian at the Gate” we’re developed with acclaimed producer Ben Leinbach, and he has toured and performed alongside musicians such as Ayla Nereo (Wildlight), Pepper Proud (Yaima), and East Forest, He has delighted and engaged chant audiences while performing at Burningman, and Lucidity festival, and Conscious Culture Festival.
