Lovelife

The Baltimore quartet, Love Life, featured ex-members of Jaks, Universal Order of Armageddon and The Great Unraveling. Their uniquely raw, post-punk infused noise rock often utilized odd time signatures, driving bass, multi-layered arrangements featuring organs, horns, and strings, and most notably Katrina Ford's sinister, guttural voice and lyrics. Their sound earned them frequent comparisons to artists like The Birthday Party, Diamanda Galás, The Jesus Lizard, Swans, and early Pere Ubu. In 2004, Love Life broke up, with Katrina Ford and Sean Antanaitis forming the post-punk cabaret trio, Celebration, and drummer Daniel Sheerin going on to form Bellmer Dolls.
