About Josh Wheatley

Hailing from Nottingham, the young multi-instrumentalist combines his perceptive songwriting with pop-tinged production. Having worked with numerous producers, such as Josh Rumble (bassist in ‘Anteros’) & Al Groves (Paris Youth Foundation, Bring Me The Horizon), it was following on from the loss of his job that made him more determined to find his own sound as a self-produced musician.

Inspired by the prolific writers Death Cab For Cutie, and the New Pop of Lauv and Sasha Sloan, this young writer is out to make a name for himself. Penning enigmatic songs about own experiences and those close to him, you can find soaring melodies through his unique voice.

Previously, he has gathered momentum thanks to Clash, Radio X and 6 Music to name a few. With his new single, Josh draws from his esteem for artists like Post Malone, Phoebe Bridgers and The 1975 with a heavy influence from Imogen Heap on his visceral new song, Best of Me....

"A songwriter with real passion and conviction...brooding, subtle, under-stated”
Clash Magazine.

"He’s got a very bright future...the kind of thing you could hear across radios around the globe"
John Kennedy, Radio X.
