Hailing from Malahide in County Dublin, Director are Michael Moloney (Vocals/Guitar), Eoin Aherne (Guitar), Shea Lawlor (Drums) and Rowan Averill (Bass).
Taking their musical cues from their early encounters with the classic songwriting of The Beatles, Steely Dan and Randy Newman, Director cite Beck, Grandaddy, Muse and The Strokes, as some of their modern day influences.

Director have been nominated for two meteor awards, Best Irish New Act and their debut album "We Thrive On Big cities" has been nominated for Best Irish Album of 2006, which has also gone platinum in Ireland.
