Che “The Chemist” Brooks is an up and coming rapper, entrepreneur, and business man living in the city of lights, Las Vegas Nevada. At only 23 years old, the chemist has already created quite a buzz in the city of sin, not only for his hard hitting, and sometimes hardcore lyrics, but also for his knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit. His lyrics on politics, poverty, and urban lifestyle (just to name a few) are making him a hit with other artists as well as underground hip hop fans alike. Since high school Che has been fascinated with hip hop culture. He began writing his freshman year in high school, but to him, he wasn’t even trying to write songs, he was just writing down rhymes as a hobby. Che loved to jot things down from time to time on small pieces of paper, which soon became lots of pieces of paper scattered around the house, and one day, as if it was destiny, his mom picked up one of those papers and read it, she immediately went to find Che and when she did she said “these are really good, I think we got something here”. Soon after, Che began performing at his high school, local parties, and basically anywhere anyone would listen. In his junior year, Che had disbanded Improper Method, the company he had started with his friends 2 years prior, and by doing so it left Che, with his dreams of someday striking it big, completely on his back. Armed with nothing but a pad and a pen, the chemist set out on a journey to find himself through his musical abilities. Almost a year later, now a high school senior, Che met a man (his soon to be roommate) that had a knack for making songs (beats). Together they began composing and creating songs that they hoped would one day make them renowned artists in the music world. These compositions together soon created Che’s very first hit song, creatively titled “Tongue tied”. As time passed Che and his roommate grew apart, as most early business partnerships do, and this forced The Chemist to find a new producer to help spur him on his journey to stardom. One day a friend came over to hang out, and with him, he brought a cd, they listened to the whole thing, and at the end where two instrumentals. Originally Che thought they where part of the cd but come to find out, they weren't. After talking to his friend he realized that the tracks were actually produced by an old friend of his from high school. Che quickly made an effort to contact him about working together and making music, and the pair have been making music now for quite some time, creating several hits off of his “Unspoken Truth” mixtape (Volumes 1&2). Amongst all the performances, recording sessions, and battle rapping, Che still managed to find time to create two companies, “Modern Menace, and Noxious Entertainment”. Modern Menace, which is a clothing company, is most definitely the more successful of the two companies as of today. When asked why he wanted to create a clothing line of all things, he said “I wanted a way to promote true art and freedom through creativity, as well as give others a chance to showcase their talent as individuals who love what they do”. Modern Menace works with several artists around the world creating a very unique looking line of clothing that expresses visually what his lyrics do verbally. Also on the radar, is the up and coming record label “Noxious Entertainment”. Noxious is a company created by Che and his partner/producer Tony Fraga. With that company quickly gaining speed, and now 4 artists under its belt, there’s no telling what this company has in store for 2011. As for right now, the future looks bright for this young entrepreneur. With two prospering companies on the horizon, a new album set to hit stores soon, and an upcoming countrywide tour, the sky is the limit for Che, but if you were to tell him that, he’ll probably tell you, that he’s only just begun. raw beats, blunts, and multi-silibol rhyme schemes
