It's the World Famous Zoo Bar, the continuous home of the Blues for 51 years and one of Bruce's favorite venues to play, as he's been coming here since 1987!
The show was fantastic, a high-energy, high passion, musically diverse and perfectly timed selection of Katz originals and cover tunes - including homages to the Grateful Dead and Allman Brothers [Bruce toured with the Gregg Allman Band for seven years as the keyboard player - in the first and second sets, respectively for both sets (and both encores) that did not disappoint!
While just a three piece band with Bruce playing organ and piano, Aaron Lieberman on guitar and vocals and Liviu Pop on drums, the Bruce Katz Band has a full sound that makes you think that it's a much larger band on the stage than what it really is.
If you get a chance to catch them playing ANYWHERE near you, DO IT! You WILL be glad you did!
