About Boytronic

1st. Boytronic era:
Boytronic is a German music group playing electropop. It was founded in 1983 by Holger Wobker and Peter Sawatzki in Hamburg, Germany. They got a hit with the single "You" and soon after the album "The Working Model"(1983) was released. The album sold very well in benelux and in scandinavia. Peter Sawatzki left the band before the 2nd album "The Continental" (1985)was finished.(sawatzki under the name "ultrabass", released two albums:"trance beats" and "planet sys". He sort of invented the "chill out style" with ethnic influences). Charly Schoppner (electric theatre), Klaus Dufke and Claus Stockhausen became the new line up together with Wobker.
After a couple of single releases "A Man in a Uniform", "Hold On" and "Late Night Satellite" Wobker then decided to go his own way. He teamed up with Ralf Martens and formed a new band called Kamerata, and released one album ("Lovers and Other Strangers" -88) and 3 singles.
2nd. Boytronic era:
In the meantime Boytronic had a totally new line up with Hayo Panarinfo, Bela Lagonda and Mark Wade (vocals). They made two albums "Love for Sale"(1988) and "The Heart and the Machine"(1992) and the two hit singles "Don`t Let Me Down" and "I Will Survive". Mark Wade then left the band.

Lagonda & Panarinfo made two more singles "Send Me An Angel"(-94) and "Blue Velvet"(-95). Later on they teamed up with Alex Christensen in the band U-96 and got a major hit with "Das Boot". Boytronic were now "on hold". Years later (in 2000) Panarinfo thought of bringing Boytronic back to life.
3rd. Boytronic era:
He contacted the original founder member Wobker, and Boytronic lived again. "Living without you" was the first single from the new album "Autotunes" (2002). Then two re-recordings of "The Working Model"(2003) and "The Continental" (2005) with b-sides and previously unreleased material, and "Maxi" with 12" mixes and new songs. Panarinfo left Boytronic due to work commitment (as a producer and record label manager).
4th. Boytronic era:
Wobker teamed up with Hans Johm (beachhead) and Michael Maria Ziffels in 2006. They released a new Boytronic album called "Dependence" in November that year.
