About BAD MULES

The Bad Mules have a pretty unusual and catchy set up: 2 singers, guitar, drums, saxophone and Hammond organ (organ bass). Their music is a tasty blend of old and new, originals and covers, from blues to New Orleans swing, from soul to Rhythm’n Blues.

Of course, you’ll find even more information and music, about their last release “Keep Rolling” on their website www.bad-mules.com

The Bad Mules have been touring for almost 13 years and played more than 750 gigs, pretty much everywhere in France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Finland, the USA… They recorded a 5th album with Mississippi a blues singer, met on their last American tour in the Deep South.

Lots of great American artists have already asked for these experienced musicians on European tours: Dave Gross, Jonn Del Toro Richardson, Barrelhouse Chuck, Mac Arnold, CW Ayon, Karl W. Davis, Jimmy Burns, Josh Miller, Jim McKabba, Richard Ray Farrel, Felix Reyes and more…

The Bad Mules were also selected by the French Blues Society (France Blues) to represent France at the 2016 International Blues Challenge in Memphis

Watch them perform on stage and get that mule kick in the pants!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Doctor Burt (AL), Jackson Reed (South Africa), Jimmy Burns (IL), Barrelhouse
Chuck (IL), Little Mike (NY), Dave Gross (NY), CW Ayon (NM), Mac Arnold (SC)...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Bad Mules have been on the road for 11 years now, playing their own gigs or backing up tremendous and inspiring American artists like Karl W. Davis, Josh Miller, Steve “Mister Blues” Miller, Jim Mc Kaba, Little Mike, Kenny Clarke, Ben Champion, Barrelhouse Chuck, Doctor Burt, Jimmy Burns and so on. No wonder they got so much tone.
Easily recognizable as one of the only swing and rhythm & blues organ combos in France and Europe, they have that organ bass groove and contagious swing you’ll sure remember of! Enjoy the rich and warm sound of this powerful guitar-sax-organ-drums quartet on stage or in their brand new homemade album (Keep Rolling), released in June 2014.
“The Bad Mules are kickin' out some baddass blues soul and boogie.

With the authentic sound of the golden era of swing and R&B, mixed with their own compositions, this high energy honky tonk band is built to move booties.

In their newest release, "Keep Rollin'", The Bad Mules have polished and perfected a blend of old and new. From the classic depth of Johnny Guitar Watson, Dave Bartholomew and Jimmy Liggins to the heartfelt personal soul found in their most mature songwriting to date, this cd is a must have. But, don't stop there, go see a live show for the full on Bad Mules kick in the pants. Don't forget to bring your boogie shoes because there will sho' 'nuff be some rug cuttin' goin' on till the break of dawn!”
