About Al Kapone

Al Kapone (born Alphonzo Bailey) is a rapper from Memphis, Tennessee who gained notoriety for his song "Whoop That Trick" featured in the 2005 film Hustle & Flow. Also referring to himself as Ska-Face Al or Al Kapeezy, Kapone is one of the most known underground rappers to ever come out of Memphis, emerging in the late 1980s.

His new album will be collaboration with Atlanta producer/mixer Billy Hume (Lil Jon, Shop Boyz, Ying Yang Twins, Ludacris, David Banner, Bonecrusher) due out in early 2008.

He wrote & produced Whoop That Trick featured in the 2005 film Hustle & Flow along with "Get Crunk, Get Buck" for soundtrack.

He appears on the song "Million Dollar Boots", performed by Lord T & Eloise, from their 2006 album "Aristocrunk".

He wrote & performed "The Deepest Hood" featured in the 2007 film, Stomp the Yard.

He won the Critic's Choice Award for "It Ain't Over (Hustle & Flow Theme)".

He co-wrote E-40's "U and Dat".

He co-wrote Lil' Jon's "Snap Yo Fingers".

He appears on Three 6 Mafia's upcoming album, Last 2 Walk, and 8Ball & MJG's 2007 album, Ridin High.

He´s currently performing with live 6-piece band of Memphis' top musicians - Tha Untouchablez.

He has recorded with the likes of E-40, Mike Jones, Mr. She, Too $hort, Pimp C, Pastor Troy & D-Shot.
